Your site reminds me of why we now find ourselves in the spot we do in this country. For almost 6 of the 8 years of the Bush Administration you and yours served as advocates for Bush and for his war. With a very few exceptions, and none of them were Washington correspondents, none of you stood up and reported that Bush was wearing no clothes. I used to watch your dinners on C-SPAN but grew tired of the love fest it became during the Bush admin. The only dinner worth watching was the Colbert dinner when he pointed out how inept you all are. The fact that you all become friends with the people you are reporting on; the fact that many of you become celebrities and invite celebrities to join you at the dinner; the fact that all of you are paid more in one year than most Americans will make in 5 years all points to one more fact–none of you matter any longer. I’ll watch this year only because I want to see the President. I’m sure you won’t be as concerned about hurting his feelings as you were when the right wing was in power.
